Synopsis: Based on the short story by Frank Stockton, "The Lady or the Tiger?" takes place in 17th century Europe. The king is a semi-barbaric ruler who has a unique way of prosecution. When a man is accused of a crime he is placed in an arena and given the choice of two doors. One door contains a tiger which will instantly rip the man apart. The other door, however, contains a lady whom he will instantly wed. When the king discovers that his daughter is sleeping with his courtier, he demands that the man be locked away and await his trial. The king finds the most vicious tiger and the most beautiful woman in the town to place behind the doors. His daughter does not know what to do because she loves the courtier, but she also suspects that he may be sleeping with the lady behind the door. She is determined to find out which door contains the tiger and which one contains the lady. She eventually finds out behind which door each lies. When it is time for the courtier's trial she points to the right, but does it hold the lady or the tiger? You decide.
